IF 3 people make a bid for a laptop on ebay who gets the laptop?

Im not really sure how to use ebay but just say someones selling a laptop, and 3 people have made a bid for it, which one of the 3 people get the laptop?

you have to make an account on ebay and usually paypal (most users ask you to make a payment by paypal as it is the most convenient and the fastest way of paying). if you have 3 bidders the one that pays the most for the item is gonna win the auction, if the item is buy now you can pay the price specified by the seller and you win the item straight away
